DT. Neville Gallimore. A+. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma. 123

After the first two picks scored an A+ it felt like only a matter of time until the bottom fell out. Surely, the Cowboys were going to go out there and make a head-scratching pick that leaves fans frustrated. Right? Well maybe not.

Dallas continued knocking it out of the park in the third round as they were once again on the clock at pick 82 and looking for an amazing value selection. They found it again as well with Neville Gallimore, who happened to be the second Oklahoma Sooner they took in this draft.

Adding an edge player probably would have been more ideal but there’s no denying that at this point, there wasn’t anyone at that position that could offer the kind of impact player Gallimore can. Listed at 6-foot-2 and 304-pounds, Gallimore has great power and even showed off his speed by running a 4.79 in the 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine.

Gallimore is known for his impressive motor and will quickly endear himself to the fans in Big D due to his relentless style of play. He could develop into a starter but with the addition of Dontari Poe and Gerald McCoy in free agency, there’s no rush. Instead, he gives them the best depth they have had along the interior of their defensive line in recent memory.
