16. Pick Analysis. CB. Shaun Wade. player. 35. Scouting Report. Ohio State

First off, we need to talk about the fact that the latest Super Bowl 55 odds have the Tennessee Titans essentially missing the playoffs next season. The team that made it to the AFC Championship Game last season and more than held their own against the eventual-champion Chiefs isn’t getting a ton of respect from oddsmakers.

With that out of the way, the fact that the Titans chose not to address EDGE in the 2020 draft is another indicator that this team could be in line to land Jadeveon Clowney in free agency. If that’s the case, then that is obviously no longer a need for this team as he can be a long-term option to pair with Harold Landry III.

If they do land Clowney, that likely means that they won’t be able to re-sign Logan Ryan. And with their most recent draft class and some contracts coming up soon in the secondary, the cornerback position should be the focus, which is fortunate as Shaun Wade falls into their laps.

The next up in a long list of great Ohio State cornerbacks, Wade isn’t at the level of Okudah but he’s exceptionally good. With nice size at 6-1, 195 pounds, he has the footwork and feel for the game to play on the boundary and in the slot and find success for the Tennessee defense.
