Pick Analysis. LB. Penn State. player. Scouting Report. Micah Parsons. 6. 31

For as many good things as the New York Giants have done over the past couple of years, this team is still a bit away from truly competing. They got Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley some protection on the line by drafting Andrew Thomas but the defense remains an area of concern for now.

However, there is a talented host of wide receivers in the 2021 NFL Draft class that could certainly help out the Giants offense and Jones for the long haul. It’s all about what general manager Dave Gettleman and the rest of the New York front office prioritize as either is a quality option for them in 2021.

For me, they go with a defensive star and a potential force in the middle of that unit, Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons. An ultra-athletic force, Parsons came to the Nittany Lions as a big-time recruit and has lived up to it. As a true sophomore last year, he was all over the field as he registered 109 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 5.0 sacks and five passes defensed.

Parsons is a day-one starter and a three-down stud linebacker in the NFL, something the Giants aren’t even close to having on their current roster. His ability to stuff the run while excelling in coverage makes him well worthy of being selected in the top 10.
