2020 NFL Draft grades for every team: Cowboys ace test, Packers falter

Indianapolis Colts
Even without a pick in Round 1, the Indianapolis Colts, who sent the No. 13 pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for DeForest Buckner, still got some great value in the draft. They took USC wide receiver Michael Pittman with their first pick — No. 34 overall. Following that selection, they picked up Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin.
This gives them two players who can help new quarterback Philip Rivers and they finally have a No. 2 wideout opposite T.Y. Hilton. However, Marlon Mack seemed fine at running back so the Taylor pick was a little unexpected but it’s hard to argue Taylor isn’t an upgrade.
Also, the selection of Julian Blackmon at No. 85 was a bit confusing with Terrell Burgess still on the table but getting Jacob Eason with the 122nd pick could end up being a steal.
Eason has the arm talent to justify a day one pick but there were questions about his decision-making and leadership. That led to his fall in the draft and Indianapolis will be a great place for him to develop as he can learn a lot from Philip Rivers.
Another potential steal for them was wide receiver Dezmon Patmon from Washington State. Indy could finally have a strong receiving corps should these players pan out.
Grade: B-
