2020 NFL Draft grades for every team: Cowboys ace test, Packers falter

Las Vegas Raiders
This weekend was supposed to be the house warming party for the Las Vegas Raiders as they were slated to host the 2020 NFL Draft. Set for their first season in a new city, the Raiders missed out on hosting the draft but they were still set to have a big presence out the gate with two picks in the opening round. The problem is, both picks left something to be desired.
Henry Ruggs and Damon Arnette are both solid players, so that’s not the problem. The issue is, neither were the top players at their respective positions when the team was on the clock. Ruggs spent his collegiate career as the No. 2 wideout to Jerry Jeudy, who went 15th to the Denver Broncos. He was also outperformed by CeeDee Lamb who went to Dallas at 17.
Of course, Ruggs turned heads with his insane speed but it has yet to be seen if he can be a No. 1 wideout. As for Arnette, he too has all the talent in the world but this feels like the same thing that happened when they took Gareon Conley at No. 24 in 2017. He too was the No. 2 Ohio State cornerback behind a stud in Marshon Lattimore much like Arnette was second to Jeff Okudah.
They then went with back-to-back receivers at No. 80 and 81 with Lynn Bowden, Jr. and Bryan Edwards. It feels like they forgot about Tyrell Williams and Bowden is most likely a slot receiver, which is taken care of by Hunter Renfrow.
Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock continued to favor Alabama and Clemson players, much like 2019, but it feels like they missed the mark too often here.
