2020 NFL Draft grades for every team: Cowboys ace test, Packers falter

Los Angeles Chargers
New Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert seems to be a polarizing figure. He was one of the top prospects last season but decided to return to Oregon for one more season to play alongside his brother. A lifelong dream came true for the Oregon-bred Herbert boys but it seemed to give people another season to overthink Herbert’s talent.
Suddenly a guy who some thought was the No. 1 pick last season became an introvert and ill-fit leader. There were also questions about consistency, but those same people scoffed when Joe Burrow’s first four seasons of collegiate play were questioned.
The fact is, Herbert can make all the throws and while he’s not a perfect prospect, there’s so much to like about his game. And the leadership qualities are important for a quarterback but he seemed to put a lot of that to rest with how popular he was during the Senior Bowl. And let’s just be honest, he’s better than Tyrod Taylor. Los Angeles is going through a huge change with Philip Rivers gone but Herbert can be the man for them.
Other solid picks included Kenneth Murray, the top linebacker in the class at No. 23 and an underrated move to get Joe Reed from Virginia. They gave up two picks for Murray but it was worth it.
