2020 NFL Draft grades for every team: Cowboys ace test, Packers falter

Los Angeles Rams
No one trades away draft picks as much as the Los Angeles Rams do. It seems as though they trade away first-round picks constantly and did so again in this class. That’s fine if you’re hitting on all the other picks but they might not have in this one as they really reached with their first two picks — both in the second round.
Florida State running back Cam Akers has some qualities to like but he wasn’t a consensus day two pick. Neither was Van Jefferson, the Florida receiver they took at 57. Even worse, Jefferson will be 24 before taking an NFL snap and older wideouts turning pro rarely ever pan out. Not that they’re bad, but it seems their ceiling is usually reached by then.
Their best selection was Terrell Lewis, the Alabama pass rusher who somehow slid to the third round and will fit nicely in the Los Angeles defensive scheme. A potential early second-round pick, it was a shock to see Lewis there at 84.
They also got Terrell Burgess in that same round, at No. 104 overall which was a steal for the Utah safety, but outside of those two picks (which were both great value) there wasn’t a lot to love about the Rams class.
Grade: C-
