CeeDee Lamb. 17. player. 123. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. Oklahoma

Never in a million years were the Dallas Cowboys expected to go with a wide receiver in the first round of the draft when looking at all of their other needs, but CeeDee Lamb was simply too good to pass on.

With the Cowboys convincing Amari Cooper to return during free agency along with Michael Gallup expected to take another positive step in the right direction after stepping up in 2019, Dallas was already in great shape at wideout leading up to the draft.

Now that Lamb is officially part of the picture, Dak Prescott could be in for another career year during the 2020 season since the weapons he gets to work with is insane to think about.

As one of the top wide receivers from this year’s class, it was somewhat surprising to see Lamb still available at No. 17, and it most likely gave Dallas even more joy knowing that Philadelphia would have loved to see him fall to No. 21.

If all goes according to plan, the addition of Lamb should provide the Cowboys with one of the league’s most high-powered offenses heading into the 2020 season, and put the team in better position to return to the playoffs after missing out last year.

When looking at all of the talent in Dallas following the draft with Lamb, how can the Cowboys not be considered one of the top teams to beat heading into next season?
