2020 NFL Draft: Every team’s best pick – Joe Burrow, Chase Young and who else?
By Dan Parzych
After years of trying to find a quarterback with potential to build the franchise around, the Denver Broncos seem to finally have an answer in Drew Lock.
Like most young quarterbacks in the league, Lock still has plenty to prove to show the Broncos he is the right answer for the long run, and Denver deserves credit for bringing on some extra help during this year’s draft.
While KJ Hamler has the potential to turn out to be a second-round steal, Denver was able to take advantage of Jerry Jeudy slipping a few spots in the first round since some teams were concerned over an undisclosed injury.
Obviously, the Broncos never would have selected Jeudy if they truly believed the knee was going to be an issue in the long run, and his impact at Alabama should provide Lock with plenty of reasons to be excited over his new teammate.
Offense is going to be key for Denver to have a fighting chance in the AFC West since the Kansas City Chiefs are still going to be loaded with talent, and as long as Jeudy is healthy enough to suit up right away, the Broncos should expect big things from their new wideout as a rookie.
