2020 NFL Draft: Every team’s best pick – Joe Burrow, Chase Young and who else?
By Dan Parzych
If all goes well for the Miami Dolphins, Tua Tagovailoa will turn out to be their best pick from this year’s, and help solve their quarterback issues from the last couple of seasons.
But since Tagovailoa is viewed as a risk at the moment due to his unfortunate history of injuries, it only seems fair to discuss the offensive tackle who will hopefully be protecting his new teammate for years to come.
As important as it was for Miami to find a new potential quarterback to build the franchise around in Tagovailoa since Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t getting any younger and Josh Rosen still has plenty to prove, it was also important to improve the offensive line as well.
A quarterback in the NFL can sometimes only be as good as his offensive line if he fails to receive the proper protection, and in a way it was sort of surprising to see Jackson still available at this point in the first round.
When looking at all of the other teams in need of help at improving the offensive line, Jackson seemed like he would have been long gone by the time Miami was on the clock again for the second time.
Now that Jackson is officially on board, it’s time for the offensive tackle to shine, and prove he is in fact the real deal.
