2020 NFL Draft: Every team’s best pick – Joe Burrow, Chase Young and who else?
By Dan Parzych
Due to numerous injuries at wide receivers last season, the Philadelphia Eagles were in desperate need of upgrading at the position during this year’s draft, which they clearly did by selecting three wideouts.
Time will tell when it comes to seeing if drafting three wideouts will pay off for the Eagles, but there is plenty of reasons to be excited over the addition of speedster Jalen Reagor.
Plenty of Philadelphia fans were frustrated over missing out on CeeDee Lamb or seeing the team pass on Justin Jefferson, but it’s easy to understand why the Eagles were sold on Reagor’s set of skills.
For starters, not only should Reagor fit right in on offense for the Eagles, but his ability to contribute on special teams as well sets him apart from some of the other players at his position.
Plus, with certain players like DeSean Jackson and Alshon Jeffery getting up there in age, Reagor will in great position to move into a larger role sooner rather than later during his career.
Some Eagles fans can criticize the team all they want for choosing Reagor over other options, but also keep in mind the speedster’s numbers at TCU most likely would have been better with an upgrade at quarterback.
