Pick Analysis. Offensive Tackle. Alabama. Jedrick Wills Jr.. 10. player. Scouting Report. 53

When it came to the biggest disappointments from the 2019 season, the Cleveland Browns ranked near the top of the list since the team went from a potential sleeper contender in the AFC to winning just six games.

Plenty of reasons were to blame behind the Browns failing to live up to the hype, and while Baker Mayfield certainly doesn’t deserve the entire blame for the struggles, the pressure is certainly going to be on for the former top overall pick.

After all the missed opportunities with previous quarterbacks, Cleveland still seems confident enough that Mayfield is the best option to run the offense, but also he could use some extra help from his offensive line for protection purposes.

For months, the offensive line seemed to be the expected pick for the Browns in the first round, and it was somewhat surprising to see Jedrick Wills Jr. still available at No. 10, but they certainly weren’t disappointed about it.

Alabama has seen plenty of former offensive lineman go on to have successful NFL careers and assuming Wills lives up to the high expectations, chances are he will soon be added to that list.

Most importantly, if Wills finds a way to make the necessary impact right away as a rookie, this should help Mayfield feel less pressure under center, and hopefully help the Browns quarterback finally reach a new level for Cleveland’s offense.
