Tony Jefferson

Tony Jefferson is probably the best player on this list. Like others on this list, however, he is recovering from an injury (knee). With the stay at home orders throughout the country, he, along with the other players, have to play a waiting game until team doctors could make an evaluation. There are a handful of teams interested, though.

Jefferson recently said in a recent interview how the virus frustrated him but that he is on track with his rehab.

"I was really turning the corner and then, this comes… I know that my knee is feeling fine, and I know that I have teams that are ready. I’ve just kind of let my agent do his thing. We’re just waiting for this virus to settle down, and I think something will happen quickly."

Jefferson was also an undrafted rookie. The Arizona Cardinals signed him and he became a starter for them. He signed a four-year, $34 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens in 2017. In his three years in Baltimore, he started all 35 games he played in, recorded 174 tackles, 11 passes defended, two sacks, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Jefferson was pretty productive playing on one of the top defenses in the league. Perhaps he could do the same with another elite defense in Chicago. It might take some time, but if he’s medically cleared then he should be in a Chicago Bears uniform.
