The Dallas Cowboys had a strong draft but that doesn’t mean some of their 2020 undrafted free agents can’t still find a way to make the 53-man roster

It’s impossible to look at the Dallas Cowboys roster as it currently stands and not believe it’s improved significantly from 2019. This isn’t to say they didn’t lose some talented players, because they did. In fact, they lost a lot of talent as some of their bigger names cashed in during free agency this offseason.

Byron Jones was the most painful exit as the Pro Bowl cornerback became the highest-paid at his position when he decided to sign with the Miami Dolphins. However, Dallas could feel just as much sting from losing defensive end Robert Quinn who led them in sacks last year before landing a multi-year deal with the Chicago Bears.

There was also slot receiver Randall Cobb and tight end Jason Witten who were responsible for 118 receptions, 1,357 yards, and seven touchdowns between the two of them. Center Travis Frederick will also need to be replaced as he decided to retire this offseason.

Having said all that, Dallas made some savvy moves in free agency as they brought in Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe on the defensive line as well as Ha Ha Clinton-Dix at safety and most recently, Daryl Worley at cornerback.

They also knocked the draft out of the park, landing several potential stars. This started out with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in Round 1, cornerback Trevon Diggs in Round 2, and defensive tackle Neville Gallimore in Round 3. They even had some potential starters fall as they got center Tyler Biadasz in the fourth and EDGE Bradlee Anae in the fifth.

As impressive as these moves were, they could still see a few undrafted free agents make this roster. Here, we identify the five most likely players who didn’t hear their names called during the draft that could make the Cowboys final roster.
