The offensive line is one of the biggest strengths for Dallas and that should remain the case after losing Travis Frederick. While Frederick was one of the best centers in the game during his best days, the Cowboys found some talent in Tyler Biadasz and they have some experience with Joe Looney. They could also find competition from Connor McDermott, their third-round pick out of Penn State from 2019.

More from Dallas Cowboys

While those players give them depth along the interior, the Cowboys offensive tackles don’t boast that same talent all the way through. Behind Tyron Smith and La’el Collins, Dallas is relying on some former undrafted talent in Mitch Hyatt from Clemson and Brandon Knight from Indiana.

Last season, Knight found his way to the roster and even started one game. He showed enough that the front office felt comfortable moving on from Cameron Fleming who has started three games in place of Tyron Smith in each of the past two seasons.

With Smith’s history of missing a few games, there’s a good chance that Knight will be called upon but beyond him as the swing tackle, nothing is guaranteed. For that reason, Terence Steele from Texas Tech could find his way to the roster.

A four-year starter for the Red Raiders, Steele is a massive player who checked into the Scouting Combine at 6-6 and 312 pounds. A smart player and former team captain, he possesses long arms and isn’t the typical air-raid offensive tackle that usually comes out of Texas Tech.

Don’t be surprised to see him in the mix as the final cuts are coming in and Dallas looks for depth behind their bookends.
