2020 NFL Power Rankings, post-draft: Cowboys big winners, Packers major losers
By Dan Parzych
To this day, it’s still unbelievable to think about how the Houston Texans were willing to send DeAndre Hopkins in a trade to the Arizona Cardinals, and basically received nothing in return to make this seem like a fair deal.
The Texans were already facing heavy criticism for collapsing the way they did during the Divisional Round against the Kansas City Chiefs, but the loss of Hopkins adds even more pressure to this team for 2020.
Sadly, it’s difficult not to feel bad for Deshaun Watson since it’s safe to assume the quarterback was blindsided by this decision, but at least when it comes to receiving the proper support on the other side of the football, the Texans’ defense should still be in solid shape.
J.J. Watt has always been considered one of the league’s most dangerous defenders when healthy enough to be on the field, and the Houston superstar must be thrilled over the team drafting Ross Blacklock to the unit.
With the way the rest of the AFC is shaping out to due to all of the high-powered offenses, the Texans are going to need all of the extra help from certain players such as Blacklock on defense just to have a fighting chance.
