team. 47. . . Previous: 13th. New England Patriots. 13

So much for all that talk surrounding the New England Patriots drafting a quarterback, huh?

Despite the Patriots seeming confident in handing the key on offense to Jarrett Stidham for the 2020 season now that Tom Brady is no longer part of the picture, New England was still expected to consider bringing on another quarterback in the draft just in case.

Instead, the only two picks the Patriots used to improve the offense happened to come on Day 3 when they selected Michael Onwenu and Dustin Woodard.

As for the new talent on the defensive side of the football, New England has plenty of reasons to be excited over the addition of Kyle Dugger at safety since the Patriots will most likely rely heavily on the unit during the 2020 season to help remain a top contender in the AFC.

While Brady and the rest of the offense usually received most of the credit for the team’s success over the years, New England’s defense actually stood out in one of the best ways possible last season before the Patriots came up short when it mattered the most down the stretch.

It’s not going to be easy for the Patriots since Brady is a future Hall of Famer for a reason, but Bill Belichick always seems to prove doubters in these kinds of moments.
