2020 NFL Power Rankings, post-draft: Cowboys big winners, Packers major losers
By Dan Parzych
Thanks to the Cincinnati Bengals being in desperate need to improve at the quarterback position, the Washington Redskins were able to take advantage of arguably the best defensive player from the 2020 class in Chase Young being available at No. 2.
To say Young has proven to be a freak of nature on the defensive side of the football when looking at his numbers from the previous two seasons (27 sacks) with Ohio State would be a huge understatement.
And while the Redskins as a team have plenty of other areas still in need of improvement, Young is one of those players who seem capable of helping an organization take a major leap in the right direction right away as a rookie during the 2020 season.
In fact, take a look at the immediate impact Nick Bosa was able to provide as a rookie for the San Francisco 49ers last season, as Washington should feel confident enough in seeing similar results from Young during his first NFL season.
Between adding Young on defense along with Dwayne Haskins hopefully taking a positive step in the right direction with some starting experience, no one should sleep on the Redskins in 2020 as a potential surprise contender.
