Washington Redskins: Impact of each rookie in 2020 season

The Washington Redskins ended up having one of the better drafts in 2020. How will each rookie impact the upcoming season though? Let’s try to guess.
The Washington Redskins entered the 2020 NFL Draft with a lot of work to do. After one of the best draft classes in the entire league though, there’s definitely some optimism floating around the fanbase. Washington ended the weekend with eight total picks.
They snatched up defensive end Chase Young with the second overall pick in the draft. After that, they got running back/wide receiver Antonio Gibson in the third round. The fourth round saw Washington grab offensive tackle Saahdiq Charles and wide receiver Antonio Gandy-Golden. Then the fifth snagged them center/guard Keith Ismael. Finally, the Redskins nabbed safety Kamren Curl and defensive end James Smith-Williams in the seventh.
All of these selections give fans some reason to be excited, including some pretty obvious names. While the Redskins definitely set themselves up nicely in the future, with some potential stars, a lot of the players can also help immediately.
Yes, some players are absolutely going to make a bigger splash early on, that’s to be expected. However, each player can bring something to the table right out of the gate. Whether it’s in a major role, or just filling out depth; they have a potential role.
With that in mind, let’s take a look at each draft pick of theirs from this year and try to determine what type of impact they might have on the 2020 season.
