Wide Receiver (5): Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, CeeDee Lamb, Cedrick Wilson, Jon’Vea Johnson

It wasn’t that long ago that this was the weakest position for the Cowboys. Heading into the 2018 season, they had just released Dez Bryant and were without a legitimate No. 1 target. They tried a committee approach with third-round pick Michael Gallup heading up a group that included Tavon Austin, Allen Hurns, Terrance Williams and Deonte Thompson.

Unsurprisingly, that was a disaster. Due to the issues they had, the Cowboys decided to give up their 2019 first-round pick for Amari Cooper and he instantly transformed the offense. Then last season, he helped their passing attack become one of the best in the NFL.

Cooper was rewarded with a massive contract for his work and he also helped Gallup take advantage of the one on ones as he joined Cooper in the 1,000-yard club last season.

There was also Randall Cobb netting over 800 yards but he left in free agency. However, Dallas arguably still improved as they somehow landed CeeDee Lamb at No. 17 in this past draft. The trio could be one of the best in the NFL but the question is who rounds out the roster.

Cedrick Wilson has a good shot to make the final roster especially given his ability to help on special teams. In this prediction he makes it to the fourth spot and the fifth and final space goes to Jon’Vea Johnson. The former undrafted free agent from Toledo has speed to spare and edges out Ventell Bryant and Devin Smith for the last spot.
