4. Dallas Cowboys

RB: Ezekiel Elliott, Tony Pollard (24/25)

We already know Ezekiel Elliott is one of the best running backs in the league; he’s rushed for at least 950 yards every season and has improved as a pass-catcher. The real reason the Cowboys get a near-perfect score at running back is Tony Pollard. Pollard thoroughly impressed as a rookie, averaging 5.3 yards per carry and scoring three touchdowns on only 101 touches. Even if Elliott were to go down, Pollard would step right in and transition flawlessly.

WR: Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, Michael Gallup, Devin Smith (23/25)

The Cowboys have an embarrassment of riches at wide receiver. Not only did they re-sign Amari Cooper to one of the largest wide receiver contracts in the league this offseason, but they spent their 17th overall pick on arguably the best wide receiver in this draft class. Michael Gallup had already shown he could be a viable outside receiver, catching 66 passes for 1,100 yards last season; now the Cowboys field three receivers who could be the No. 1 option for several other teams.

TE: Blake Jarwin, Dalton Schultz (18/25)

I am a believer in Blake Jarwin, but I have to see more before I give him the benefit of the doubt. Before Jason Witten decided to leave broadcasting for another year in Dallas, Jarwin was expected to take over the role quite nicely. He averaged 11.8 yards per catch average in 2019 with Witten seeing a majority of the touches, so it’s expected he would excel with increased opportunity. Nonetheless, this group is not deep enough to make up for his inexperience.

Offensive Line: Tyron Smith, Connor Williams, Joe Looney, Zack Martin, La’el Collins (24/25)

Ever since Tony Romo left, the Dallas offensive line has been one of the best in the league. Despite Travis Frederick’s departure, this group should once again be among the highest-rated groups in the NFL and provide adequate protection for Dak Prescott.

Total Score:  89/100

Summary: If the Cowboys are hesitant to give Prescott a long-term deal, this supporting cast should provide them all of the evidence they need to make that decision. With Elliott, Cooper, Lamb, Gallup and a great offensive line, Prescott has the potential to have an MVP season and put up historic numbers. If Lamb can deliver on his pre-draft hype, this group could easily move up the rankings next year.
