. player. Clemson. Pick Analysis. Cornerback. A.J. Terrell. 44. Scouting Report

Speaking of great Clemson defenders, the Atlanta Falcons would love nothing more than to see A.J. Terrell help fill their need at cornerback to help the team become a playoff contender again in the NFC.

In each of the previous two seasons, the Falcons appeared to be a playoff-caliber team on paper but unfortunately came up short of earning a trip to the playoffs, which is part of the reason why there is so much pressure on Dan Quinn.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing whether Atlanta made the right choice in bringing Quinn back for another year, but similar to the situation with the Arizona Cardinals, if the Falcons are in fact going to live up to the hype, the defense will need to come through on their end.

Clemson has seen plenty of their former players go on to have successful careers in the NFL, and if all goes well for Terrell, it seems like only a matter of time before he adds his name to the impressive list.

The Falcons realize just how fortunate they are to have an offense led by Matt Ryan with weapons such as Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, but Terrell along with the rest of the defense will most likely be the deciding factor of Atlanta’s chances to become a playoff contender again.
