10 NFL head coaches under the most pressure in 2020
By Dan Parzych
1. Sean McVay, Los Angeles Rams
Last season was filled with plenty of unexpected surprises, one of which included the Los Angeles Rams failing to even earn a Wild Card spot in the NFC.
After previously earning a trip to the Super Bowl before coming up short against the New England Patriots, the Rams seemed like they would be in great position to earn a trip to the playoffs for the third year in a row, even if it meant being one of the Wild Card teams.
Due to Los Angeles failing to live up to the high expectations, the questions surrounding Sean McVay, and whether the Rams head coach had missed his best shot of hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
The Rams could obviously turn things around in 2020, but between Todd Gurley no longer being around along with losing a few other key players such as Dante Fowler, Los Angeles could be heading towards another rough outing.
Not to mention, when looking at all of the money tied up to certain key players such as Jared Goff and Aaron Donald, anything short of McVay’s squad reaching the playoffs will be viewed as a complete bust.
Knowing McVay, the Rams head coach has spent the last few months working his butt off to make sure Los Angeles does end up turning things around, but if the struggles continue, it will be interesting to see how the organization handles the situation.
