6. Mike Tomlin, Pittsburgh Steelers

When taking into consideration that Mike Tomlin has never finished with a losing record as head coach with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he would seem like the last candidate to be mentioned on a list like this.

But after seeing how the Steelers missed out on the playoffs, it would be huge understatement to say that Tomlin will be feeling the extra pressure to help Pittsburgh bounce back in 2020.

First off, let the record show that things most likely would have been much different for the Steelers if Ben Roethlisberger didn’t suffer a season-ending elbow injury early on in September.

Sadly, Tomlin and the Steelers learned the hard way that both Mason Rudolph and Devlin Hodges are still works-in-progress before they are on the level of reliable quarterbacks in the NFL.

One can only imagine how different January would have been for Pittsburgh if the team didn’t collapse during the final three games, but hopefully a healthy Roethlisberger will help the Steelers get back on track this upcoming season as a top AFC contender.

Thanks to Lamar Jackson putting together an MVP campaign with the Baltimore Ravens in 2019, Pittsburgh was already set to face a difficult challenge competing for the division title, but after last season, the pressure surrounding Tomlin could be on verge of a new level.
