5. Doug Marrone, Jacksonville Jaguars

After combining for just 11 games over the last two seasons, will the Jacksonville Jaguars regret their decision in bringing back Doug Marrone for another year as head coach?

In a way, it’s amazing to think about how the Jaguars were one win away from reaching the Super Bowl a few years ago, and are now considered one of the biggest messes in the NFL.

For reasons that are difficult to explain, Jacksonville has traded away numerous from their former players over the last couple of years, whether it involves Jalen Ramsey before the trade deadline last October or even Nick Foles this offseason.

With the way things looked in each of the last two seasons, Marrone almost seemed to be a lock to be out of a job once the 2019 season officially came to an end, yet this questionable decision ranks up with the rest from the last few years.

To top it off, with the Jaguars deciding to move on from Foles after only one season to pave the way for Gardner Minshew II under center, there’s a good chance that Jacksonville is heading towards another year of rebuilding.

Assuming this turns out to be the case, chances are Marrone will find himself on the hot seat shortly after the 2020 regular season gets underway.
