Final Record: 13-3

While strength of schedule is sometimes misleading, it’s a strong predictor for how Baltimore’s season should turn out in 2020. The Ravens face 11 teams that missed the playoffs in 2019, and one of the five playoff teams they face is the New England Patriots. However, the other four playoff teams all pose serious threats. While I don’t believe the Ravens match their 14-game win total from last year, the team should still claim a top-two seed in the AFC.

Any year where a team wins twelve or more games should be considered a success. However, Baltimore’s season ultimately hinges on the postseason. The crushing 12-28 loss to the Titans in the Divisional Round last season exposed some serious flaws in Baltimore’s philosophy. If the Ravens don’t adapt and at least reach the AFC Championship game this year, then their regular season record is meaningless.

The Ravens built the most well-rounded team in the entire AFC. Now, John Harbaugh must help Jackson mature and overcome his 0-2 postseason record as a starter. If any team in the AFC can unseat Mahomes and the Chiefs, it’s Baltimore.

Between their offseason additions and strength of schedule, the Ravens have no excuses for not making the AFC Championship game. That’s the projected floor for this team. With starters like Judon, Matt Skura, and Ronnie Stanley entering free agency in 2021, this year is Baltimore’s best shot for a Super Bowl title.
