Week 5: Philadelphia Eagles at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Eagles overhauled their wide receiver corps this offseason, giving Carson Wentz the speed options he always needed on the outside. With Miles Sanders also assuming a larger role in the offense, Doug Pederson’s team also holds a slight edge over the Steelers.

Week 5 is another tossup game that could go in Pittsburgh’s favor. However, the Steelers sometimes come out flat in these types of games. That gives Philadelphia enough time to build and maintain a lead.

Prediction: Loss

Week 6: Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers

The Browns added more high-profile free agents this spring and found some good players in the draft. None of that matters. This franchise is still the same old Browns, and until they do something to change the narrative, Cleveland is not beating Pittsburgh at Heinz Field.

Prediction: Win

Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens

Taking on John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson in Baltimore proves to be too much for the Steelers. Baltimore swept the season series against Pittsburgh last year, and the Ravens only got better this offseason. The Steelers might be better too, but they can’t compete with the offseason Baltimore put together.

Even if the Steelers find a way to contain Jackson, Baltimore’s defense is stacked at all three levels. The Ravens could win 13 to 14 games this season, including their Week 7 matchup against Pittsburgh.

Prediction: Loss

Week 9: Pittsburgh Steelers at Dallas Cowboys

The outcome of Week 9, coming off the bye, largely depends on how Dak Prescott handles his ongoing contract situation. If the former Pro Bowler reports for Dallas, then the Cowboys should find a way to beat Pittsburgh. The Steelers have one of the deepest defensive backfields in the NFL, but the Cowboys might have the best trio of wide receivers at this point.

While the Cowboys will struggle to contain Pittsburgh’s array of wide receivers, the Cowboys put on an offensive show the Steelers cannot match.

Prediction: Loss
