Week 14: Vikings at Buccaneers

A team that everyone is going to have circled on their calendars during the 2020 regular season will be when they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. For Minnesota, that will come on the road during Week 14 of the season in 2020.

The Vikings will get their first look at new Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady and the high-powered Buccaneers offense on a Sunday afternoon, but Brady and company will display to Minnesota just how dominant they can be in the contest. Ultimately, Brady’s weapons on offense will prove to be too much for the Vikings defense and Minnesota will leave Tampa Bay with a loss on the record to drop to 8-5 overall.

Prediction: Loss

Week 15: Bears at Vikings

Divisional games late in the season has traditionally been make-or-break for Minnesota, and it might just be the same situation in 2020 in the final few games of the regular season. Luckily for the Vikings, this game against the Chicago Bears will come at home with likely a divisional title on the line between them and either the Bears or Packers.

The story during the regular season schedule will be Minnesota’s continued dominant at home in Minneapolis, and that will once again be the case against Chicago in order to earn a two-game series split with the Bears on a Sunday afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.

Prediction: Win

Week 16: Vikings at Saints

One of the biggest and most anticipated games of the 2020 campaign for the Minnesota Vikings will come on Christmas Day against a team in the New Orleans Saints who has started to become one of their biggest out-of-division rivals in the league.

Minnesota will spend its Christmas on national television against New Orleans, trying to continue its recent dominance over the Saints that we’ve seen out of the purple and gold in the past few years. After falling twice to the Vikings in two heartbreaking endings over the last couple of seasons, New Orleans will get its revenge on a Friday evening to defend its home field.

Prediction: Loss

Week 17: Vikings at Lions

To round out the 2020 regular season, Minnesota will end it on the road against an NFC North opponent for yet another year. Instead of playing the Bears or Packers on the final game of the year like has been the result the last few years, the Vikings will get one last shot at the Detroit Lions on the road before the postseason kicks off.

On a Sunday afternoon in Detroit, Minnesota will be able to end the year on a strong note and will wrap up an NFC North title while earning a season series sweep of Detroit to ride high into the playoffs with a victory.

Prediction: Win
