Minnesota Vikings 2020 season prediction: 10-6
Overall this season, the Minnesota Vikings will rise above the rest of the NFC North and will take advantage of somewhat of a down year for the rest of the three divisional opponents to grab double-digit victories for a second straight year.
The beginning of the regular season will be much like last year for the Vikings in that they will likely get off to a hot start only to have that catch up with them at the midway point and especially in the final handful of games in the year.
As a result of that, Minnesota will finish the regular season at 10-6 overall for yet another season, but this time will finish atop the NFC North standings to claim the division title while earning its second straight postseason berth.
Like the NFC North always seems to shake out, the Vikings will have to battle to get the division title by treading water in the latter portion of the regular season schedule while taking advantage of those late-season divisional games against Chicago and Detroit.
With games in the final eight contests of the season featuring teams such as the Cowboys, Buccaneers, Saints and others, Minnesota will taper off in the final eight games of the 2020 campaign after getting the year off to a hot start.
Ultimately, Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and the Vikings offense will be able to continue to be a steadily positive aspect of the team while the defense will go through its growing pains but will return to form under the direction of head coach Mike Zimmer.
With 10 wins during the regular season, Minnesota will claim the division title and will improve on making the playoffs as an NFC Wild Card team like it did in 2019.
