Week 14: Falcons at Chargers

After hosting two straight games the few weeks prior to Week 14, Atlanta will hit the road to take on the Los Angeles Chargers in a Sunday evening matchup in Los Angeles.

At this point in the year, rookie quarterback Justin Herbert will have taken over and become the official new starter of the Chargers offense, but Atlanta’s defense will be able to get to the rookie quarterback early and often while its offense is able to take care of business on the other side of the field. The Falcons will once again avoid losing two games in a row, improving to 8-5 overall with the win.

Prediction: Win

Week 15: Buccaneers at Falcons

In Week 15, Atlanta will start a very tough stretch to end the regular season against two Super Bowl-caliber teams, with two of those games coming on the road. This game, however, will be at home as the Falcons will get their first look at Tom Brady and the new-look Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a Sunday afternoon in Atlanta.

By the point in the year, as we have seen year-after-year in his career, Brady will have hit his stride in the offense and will already be in playoff form at this point in the year, which will prove to be too much for the Falcons while falling to the NFC South opponent and moving to 8-6 going into the last two games of the regular season schedule.

Prediction: Loss

Week 16: Falcons at Chiefs

After taking on a Super Bowl-caliber talent in Tampa Bay the week prior, Atlanta will immediately get another tough test in the second-to-last regular season contest when it hits the road to battle the defending Super Bowl Champions in the Kansas City Chiefs.

If this game was early on in the year, the Falcons might have more of a shot against Patrick Mahomes and company on their home field, but the fact that this game is later on in the season and the Chiefs will be preparing for another postseason run will prove to be daunting for Atlanta as it drops its second game in a row going into the regular-season finale.

Prediction: Loss

Week 17: Falcons at Buccaneers

Like Atlanta did with the New Orleans Saints, it will also end up playing fellow NFC South team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two times in a matter of three weeks, but this contest will come on the road in Tampa Bay.

Although Brady and a bulk of the Buccaneers offense could likely be sitting this game out while preparing for the playoffs ahead, the Falcons will struggle on the road against a championship talent to drop their third straight game to end the 2020 regular season.

Prediction: Loss
