No. 2 Worst: Week 2 – at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Typically, games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were celebrated and highly anticipated by Panther fans. With the New Orleans Saints always strong and Atlanta typically being a talented team, a division matchup against a team in Carolina’s favor was always welcomed.

As anybody in the sports world knows, the greatest quarterback of all time, Tom Brady, has left his long-beloved home with the New England Patriots, to join the Buccaneers down south. Brady may not be viewed as the best quarterback in the league anymore but he still is capable of competing at a high level.

Brady will also have a multitude of weapons to throw to, arguably the best group of weapons he’s ever played with in his career; Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Cameron Brate, O.J. Howard and, of course, now Rob Gronkowski.

Not to mention a strong defensive line, accompanied by a solid linebacker core, and an alright secondary, Tampa Bay looks to compete to be the first team ever to play in a home Super Bowl.

After five seasons of underwhelming play by Jameis Winston, Buccaneers fans are excited to have six-time Super Bowl champion, Tom Brady control the offense. As much as it may be likely that there will be no or a limited amount of fans in the stadium, the anticipation and excitement for Brady’s arrival will be in the atmosphere.

Week 2 is the first time Brady will be playing in Tampa Bay and the Carolina Panthers will have to weather the storm, control the adrenaline and play four quarters of good football to beat this Buccaneers team. A challenge, to say the least — it will be interesting to see if they’re up for the task.
