The Dallas Cowboys enter 2020 with some lofty expectations and in order to reach their potential, they need these three players to step up and deliver

This season, the Dallas Cowboys will have more eyes on them than they’re used to — and that’s saying something considering they’re already the most visible NFL franchise. The reason for the increased attention, and ensuing pressure that follows, is the fact that they finally made a move at head coach.

It was long overdue, but the Cowboys decided it was time to move on from Jason Garrett. Even that had a lot of attention as they inexplicably allowed Garrett to run some never-ending exit interviews and then the kept showing up to work. It got so weird that Ian Rapoport even said Garrett “allowed” them to move on.

With Garrett out, Dallas turns to Mike McCarthy as their new head coach and he brings with him a Super Bowl ring and winning mentality. He also has a pretty stacked roster thanks in large part to a massive haul in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Adding CeeDee Lamb, Trevon Diggs, and Neville Gallimore in their first three picks was huge but they also somehow found a way to get Tyler Biadsz and Bradee Anae in the same class. As good as those selections were, the Cowboys chances of winning the NFC East and contending in their conference will fall more on the shoulders of their returning starters.

That being said, here are three veteran players who are going to be relied heavily upon in 2020. If Dallas wants to find success, these guys need to raise their level of play.
