Week 9: vs. Green Bay Packers – Thursday Night Football

The 49ers have a quick turnaround after their tilt with the Seahawks, but they get to face a team that they outscored 74-28 in their two meetings last season. The Packers have not improved in the slightest, as they’ve lost more free agents than they’ve acquired and spent their first three draft picks on unnecessary positions. The 49ers get back on track and once again demolish Green Bay

Prediction: 49ers 38, Packers 17

Week 10: at New Orleans Saints

San Francisco’s brutal midseason gauntlet ends in New Orleans, as the 49ers will have a rematch against the Saints. The last time these two teams played, the 49ers squeezed out a 48-46 win following George Kittle’s unforgettable stiff-arm. This time, I’ll give the Saints the edge. These teams are still incredibly even and I can’t see New Orleans letting San Francisco beat them in the Superdome for the second consecutive year.

Prediction: Saints 28, 49ers 27

Week 11: BYE

The 49ers get a much-needed bye week to regroup following their 1-3 stint over the past four games. At 7-3, San Francisco is still in the hunt for the NFC’s top seed and vying with Seattle for the NFC West Crown. Luckily for them, their schedule gets much easier in the winter months.

Week 12: at Los Angeles Rams

I thought about having San Francisco split with the Rams, but the schedule just worked in favor of the defending NFC Champion. As the 49ers come off their bye week, the Rams need to regroup following a Monday Night Football bout versus the Buccaneers. The rest differential, as well as Kyle Shanahan having an extra week to game plan, gives the 49ers the needed edge to sweep their division rival.

Prediction: 49ers 24, Rams 17

Week 13: vs. Buffalo Bills – Monday Night Football

The 49ers get another long rest as they face last year’s AFC East surprise team, the Buffalo Bills. I think the Bills can be a perennial playoff team, but Josh Allen struggles mightily versus pressure; last year, he ranked 34th among all quarterbacks in completion percentage while under pressure.

The Buffalo secondary is one of the best in the league, but the San Francisco run game will overwhelm a sub-par rush defense. I foresee another blowout as the 49ers make a statement on Monday Night Football.

Prediction: 49ers 41, Bills 21
