Tough Game No. 1: San Francisco 49ers, Week 17

The Seahawks and 49ers also square off in Week 8, but more could be on the line when the two teams collide in Week 17. The season finale between these two playoff teams could decide who wins the NFC West and make a large impact on the NFC’s playoff seeding.

Last season, deciding the winner of the NFC West came down to the final week of the season as well. It looks like the NFL wants a repeat of their 2019 finale out West. Now, every minute of the 2020 NFL season could play a role in how the playoffs shake-up.

The 49ers pose several problems for Seattle. First, as divisional rivals, the 49ers and Seahawks always get into close brawls. The Seahawks defeated San Francisco by three points in their first matchup last season before San Francisco won by five points in Week 17.

Second, San Francisco runs the ball better than Seattle. While the Seahawks love to grind opponents into the ground, the 49ers finished second in the NFL in rushing yards last season.

Third, San Francisco’s offensive line got better this offseason with the addition of Trent Williams. Seattle only defeated the 49ers in Week 10 last year because they sacked Jimmy Garoppolo five times and forced him to fumble twice. Between their lack of pass rushers and the addition of Williams, it’s unlikely Seattle batters Garoppolo this coming season.

Easiest Game No. 1- Washington Redskins, Week 15

This coming season, the Redskins and the Jacksonville Jaguars should compete for the top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. While Gardner Minshew showed some ability to move the football, Dwayne Haskins struggled for most of his rookie season. The Ohio State product did put together two decent games down the stretch against Philadelphia and New York, but he doesn’t look ready for the NFL stage.

Washington did add Chase Young to a stacked defensive line led by numerous first-round picks, but there’s not another strong unit on Washington’s entire team. The linebacking corps and secondary look weak and exploitable. As long as Seattle’s offensive line buys Wilson even a little time, he should pick Washington’s defense apart.

On the other hand, Seattle’s defense should have no issues with Washington’s offense. The Redskins severely lack talent on that side of the ball, considering Terry McLaurin serves as the offense’s best skill player. If the Seahawks treat their Week 15 matchup with any sense of urgency, the team should win in blowout fashion.
