Los Angeles Rams: 3 Dream trade targets from Raiders before 2020 training camp

2. Rodney Hudson
Prior to the 2019 season, one of the main reasons behind Los Angeles emerging as a top contender in the NFC that also consisted of two division titles was due to having a top offensive line in the league, led by the presence of Andrew Whitworth.
Along with Whitworth, the Rams were also fortunate enough to have other key members to the unit such as Rodger Saffold and John Sullivan to make life much easier for Jared Goff under center.
But after Saffold signed with the Tennessee Titans, and Los Angeles decided to part ways with Sullivan, the offensive line would end up entering the 2019 season with all sorts of questions.
At the time, the Rams felt confident in some of their younger players in Brian Allen and Joseph Noteboom being ready to step up, but unfortunately the unit ended up being inconsistent for the most part, leading to the offense taking a bit of a step back.
Acquiring a center like Rodney Hudson wouldn’t solve all the issues Los Angeles experienced with the offensive line last season, but the fact that he has earned Pro Bowl honors three times in four seasons shows how special of a player he truly is.
Plus, with a move like this, the addition of a reliable lineman in Hudson would make Goff quite happy on offense and put the former top overall pick in better position to bounce back in one of the strongest ways possible.
