2021 NFL Mock Draft: Trevor Lawrence tank pays off for Jaguars, Trey Lance to Raiders
Despite moving around and playing on teams with varying levels of success, Quincy Roche was nothing but productive for the Temple Owls throughout the first three years of his college career. He began his career with 7.0 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss as a freshman. The next season, though those numbers dipped to 6.0 sacks and 9.0 tackles for loss, he posted a career-high 57 total tackles.
This past season with the Owls, however, Roche was a dominant force as a pass-rusher off the edge. He exploded for 13.0 sacks and 19.0 tackles for loss and also ended the year with five pass defenses and 49 total tackles. Oh yeah, he also has six forced fumbles throughout his career as well.
Now, Roche has transferred to play for the Miami Hurricanes and has a huge opportunity ahead. If the 6-4, 235-pounder can be an explosive threat off the edge opposite of Gregory Rousseau, he could produce enough to be a first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
That’s the case here and the Baltimore Ravens get a player who fits them like a glove. Roche’s frame is ideally suited as a stand-up rusher they could need to either replace or complement Matt Judon on the edge and his mentality as a do-it-all force from that spot fits the mold of what Baltimore has looked for over the years.
