Green Bay Packers: Way too early 55-man roster prediction for 2020 season

Special teams
Kicker (1): Mason Crosby
No surprises here. Crosby just signed a three-year, $12.9 million contract to remain in Green Bay until 2023. It wouldn’t be shocking to see Crosby retire at the end of his new contract. The 2007 sixth-round draft choice is 35 years old. He’s the Packers’ all-time leading scorer and has been one of the most consistent kickers in the NFL over the past few seasons. He had arguably his best season in 2020, converting 22-of-24 field goals and 40-of-41 extra points.
Punter (1): J.K. Scott
Scott struggled last season. The cold weather really affected him down the stretch in November and December. He’ll need to string together some consistent performances if he’s to stick around another year. He’s not in jeopardy of being cut before the season, but he needs to prove he was worth a fifth-round draft choice. Scott averaged 44.0 yards per punt in 2019, which ranked 28th in the NFL.
Long snapper (1): Hunter Bradley
Bradley is the team’s only option at long snapper and is almost certainly a guarantee to make the team’s final 55-man roster, barring a significant injury. He was consistent in 2019 after some shaky snaps in his rookie season in 2018. The Packers will have another year of continuity on field goals with Bradley as the long snapper, Scott as the holder and Crosby as the kicker.
