Easiest Game: Week 5 vs. Los Angeles Chargers

With the departure of Melvin Gordon III and Philip Rivers, the Los Angeles Chargers are entering a rebuilding stage behind sixth overall pick, Justin Herbert. By the time Week 5 rolls around, the potential for Herbert to be at the helm might be fairly high. Tyrod Taylor played the same role on the Cleveland Browns in 2018 and it only took him two games to be sat on the bench for No. 1 pick, Baker Mayfield.

The Los Angeles Chargers will forever be fun to watch, just off the fact that they have the best uniforms in the league, but talent-wise, I wouldn’t expect much.

I hate to rip on a guy when he hasn’t even played a snap in the league, but my expectations for Herbert were fairly low. I was beyond shocked when the rumors about him being drafted above Tua Tagovailoa began to surface.

I would love for him to prove me wrong but his ceiling at highest looks like a game manager, an Alex Smith type. Now, if he reaches Smith levels, he is doing very well for himself and will have an outstanding career. I’m just saying that I think that’s where his absolute peaks stand.

The Saints should take care of the Chargers at home no matter who is at quarterback for the Chargers. As a Saints fan, I would feel most comfortable heading into this game and it should be one of the games that an elite-level team like the Saints should handle with ease.
