After a season full of injuries, tribulation, the Pittsburgh Steelers will look to rebound and make the playoffs for the first time since 2017.

If you want a perfect example of a roller-coaster season, look no further than the 2019 Pittsburgh Steelers. After getting humiliated in the opening week of the season at the hands of the New England Patriots, the Steelers lost future Hall-of-Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to a season-ending elbow injury en route to an 0-3 start.

Despite the slow start, the Steelers won eight of their next 10 games, establishing their defense as one of the elite units and putting themselves in prime position for a Wild Card spot, before dropping their final three contests and missing the playoffs.

While the offense struggled in 2019, the defense flourished and was the catalyst to their incredible mid-season run. The Steelers finished 2019 leading the NFL in sacks, fumble recoveries, and total takeaways. Bud Dupree and T.J. Watt combined for the second-most sacks by a Steelers duo in history and Fitzpatrick was named an All-Pro.

The Steelers come into the 2020 season in win-now mode. Big Ben is back at the helm of the offense with a few new weapons to turn to. Former Pro-Bowl tight end Eric Ebron signed with the Steelers as a free agent from Indianapolis, forming a very good 1-2 punch at tight end with Vance McDonald.

Also added to the offense was wide receiver Chase Claypool out of Notre Dame and running back Anthony McFarland out of Maryland, both of whom will likely be valuable contributors from day one. In addition, Diontae Johnson led all rookies in receptions with 59 in 2019, and that was with an abysmal quarterback situation.

JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Conner will also look to rebound after injuries plagued both players last season, and the Steelers offensive line is still very solid. The defense is also back with no serious losses to any starting position and are ready to run it back.

That said, here are what look to be the three toughest and three easiest matchups for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2020.
