One can only imagine how much Jones would have benefitted as a rookie if Odell Beckham Jr. stuck around instead of ending up with the Cleveland Browns through a trade, but hopefully one of the younger receivers finds a way to step up in 2020.

Obviously, certain players such as Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are nowhere near the same level as Beckham since there’s a reason why the star wideout is one of the best in the league at what he does.

But in order for Jones to be in the best position to get better on offense, the Giants need to build the most reliable weapons possible around him in the passing game.

With that being said, Denver deserves plenty of credit for putting their second-year quarterback in Drew Lock to succeed in 2020 after investing in two receivers early on in the draft with Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler.

Adding these two rookie receivers to a passing game that saw Courtland Sutton earn Pro Bowl honors for the first time in 2019 should give the Broncos plenty of excitement on offense, but also shows they can probably afford to trade the former SMU star if the Giants were interested.

Keeping Sutton would obviously keep Denver’s offense in much better shape at wide receiver, but since just about every player in the league has an asking price, one can only imagine how much Jones would benefit from someone like Sutton becoming part of the picture in New York.
