1. Grady Jarrett

As disappointed as Grady Jarrett may have been feeling last year when the Falcons decided to place the franchise tag on the defender, at least it would eventually lead to a hefty four-year extension worth around $68 million.

What made this deal even more exciting for Jarrett and the Falcons is the former Clemson star is coming off Pro Bowl honors for the first time in his career during the 2019 season after finishing with 7.5 sacks while starting all 16 games.

With this in mind, Atlanta clearly feels confident they made the right decision in rewarding Jarrett with such a hefty extension last summer, but also what if the Falcons realized a potential trade could free up some of that salary cap space?

Long shot or not, one thing is certain, which is if this were to become the case, chances are plenty of teams would be picking up the phone to call Atlanta right away to see what it would take to land Jarrett.

Since the Jets play in the tough AFC East and will need strong play on the defensive side of the football in 2020 just to have a fighting chance, Jarrett seems like the kind of player who would fit in right away on New York’s defense.
