Another underrated uniform belongs to the New Orleans Saints, and like a lot of the really good ones in the league, they haven’t made too many changes to what was a simple design. In 1967, they brought out some gold pants with a black jersey that had gold numbers. There were small stripes on the sleeves as well as the socks.

The helmet was also gold, with the fleur-de-lis in black with white and gold outlines on it as they gave a nice nod to the city they play in. That look stayed nearly identical for years but there were some changes along the way.

Most were subtle and just variances of the same colors but in 1975, they ditched the gold pants for white. They introduced black the following season and just switched between those colors based on what jersey they wore.

They re-introduced the gold a few years later and ditched the white. In 2011, they brought in an alternate that had a much brighter gold, that paid homage to the past.

Now, they favor a black on black as well as a white on white look. They both work very well and are some of the best in the business.
