team. 56. . . . Cincinnati Bengals. 28

The helmet for the Cincinnati Bengals is nothing if not unique. And there are those who really love it and some who do not. Personally, the helmet is not in the top-10 for me but that’s not the real reason the Bengals fall so far down this list. Instead, it’s simply because there’s so much going on with their uniforms that it’s hard to really appreciate them.

Let’s start out with their home black uniform. There’s nothing at all wrong with the black and orange, which is what we think of when we think of a tiger. They also were smart to avoid making the numbers orange, because that would have been too much. Cincy went with a white number and an orange outline, which looks nice. It all started out so well.

But then they throw this really random and out of place white stripe down the side of their jersey. It’s out of place and makes it look sloppy. Not only that, but they decided to then go stripe happy with stripes on the shoulder pad and stripes down the side of their pants.

They did the same with their alternate jersey, just swapping out the black for orange. Their white ones don’t look as bad but their best uniforms are their color rush. And it’s never a good thing when the gimmick uniform is your best choice.
