Seattle Seahawks: 3 Dream trade targets from Chiefs before 2020 training camp
By Dan Parzych
1. Damien Williams
Even though Damien Williams technically came up two yards short in 2019, it is crazy to think how the running back has been in the NFL for six years and has yet to break the 500-yard rushing mark during the regular season.
But as disappointing as this may seem, at least Williams has found ways to make up for it when it mattered the most for Kansas City during the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.
From finding the end zone three times this past January in the Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans to even February’s Super Bowl victory over the San Francisco 49ers when he rushed for 104 yards with a score, Williams was incredible this past postseason.
With that being said, while Williams appeared to be a lock for the starting job when the Chiefs were all hoisting the Lombardi Trophy, the team recently using a first-round pick on Clyde Edwards-Helaire shows he may have to settle for the No. 2 job.
Time will tell when it comes to seeing whether this happens to be the case for Williams, but all things considered, Kansas City seems like they can afford to deal the running back if needed with all the depth at the position.
Seattle is currently in great shape with a few key running backs of their own on the roster such as Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny, but after all the injuries from last season, the Seahawks could always use extra insurance with someone like Williams.
