2. Tre’Davious White

First off, let the record show that New Orleans is already fortunate enough to have one of the league’s top cornerbacks in Marshon Lattimore, meaning this position isn’t exactly a top area in need of improvement before camp.

But if the Saints could somehow pull off a trade involving Tre’Davious White, this would easily give the defense one of the top duos in the league at the position.

Buffalo clearly knew they had something special in White after investing a first-round pick on the star cornerback in 2017, and watching the cornerback recently earn Pro Bowl honors for the first time this past season shows he has been living up to the hype so far.

Towards the end of April, the Bills clearly had an easy decision in exercising White’s fifth-year option, but also realize that sooner or later, he will be up for a hefty new contract.

To make sure they are set at cornerback for years to come, chances are Buffalo will do whatever it takes to keep White around for the long run to help the defense continue to be one of the best in the league.

However, if the Bills were to decide that White’s asking price down the road could be too expensive for their taste since other players will be looking for hefty deals as well, maybe the Saints could use this factor to their advantage as far as a potential trade is concerned.
