2. Antonio Gandy-Golden

Antonio Gandy-Golden is a rookie that was taken in the fourth round (142nd overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He’s already intrigued the entire fanbase. There are obvious reasons for that too.

Gandy-Golden is 6-4, 223 pounds. He’s got all types of athletic skill, great route running and hands capable of some incredible catches. The only knock on him entering the draft seemed to be that he wasn’t exactly the fastest receiver in the class.

Everything else about him makes Gandy-Golden someone to fall in love with as a receiver, though. He’s a perfectionist. We’ve all heard about his skills with a Rubik’s cube and how he’s bowled a 300. He’s also an incredible gymnast, and that’s definitely something that could help him on the football field.

Gandy-Golden should get a pretty big role immediately. He will be a good complement to McLaurin and will be a good possession and red zone threat. In fact, he should be good at just about everything, which includes being a serious problem on deep balls, using his size and ridiculous athleticism to get to balls that most others would not be able to.

It’s that red zone ability that will likely make him such a prominent figure in the offense though. Gandy-Golden is going to be bigger than just about anyone that tries to cover him. He can probably out jump them too.

So he’s a great target for Haskins and could quickly become one of his favorites. With that in mind, Washington will want to give him a legitimate look right away and give the two time to grow their relationship, it could be a great one.
