Wide Receivers (6): Stefon Diggs, John Brown, Cole Beasley, Isaiah McKenzie, Gabriel Davis, Isaiah Hodgins

After a season in which John Brown and Cole Beasley each had career years in their respective roles, the Bills brought in an elite talent in Stefon Diggs to be the clear No. 1 wideout. Diggs, Brown, and Beasley will rival many other NFL teams for the best receiving trio in the league, and they’ll assuredly see the majority of playing time in this wide receiver room.

Isaiah McKenzie sticks on the roster as he provides a lot of versatility given his speed and yards-after-catch ability; he can line up at multiple spots, so his flexibility will warrant a roster spot. The final two spots go to the Bills’ fourth and sixth-round draft picks.

Barring injury, it is doubtful the fifth and sixth wideouts on this roster see any semblance of meaningful playing time, so the Bills will groom two project players in the hopes they can coax out a breakout star.

Robert Foster and Duke Williams are on the outside looking in, as they don’t present the upside needed for this 2020 Bills team. Foster hasn’t done much since the back half of the 2018 season, and with Diggs and Brown taking over the role as vertical threats, his skill set is quite redundant.

Williams showed some promise last season as the only big receiver on the roster, but the Bills drafted Davis as his replacement. Hodgins’ upside and ability to be stolen off of the practice squad sends Williams to the wire. The Bills also cut return specialist Andre Roberts in the hopes that McKenzie or Hodgins can contribute in that area.
