1. Aaron Rodgers, QB

It’s hard to truly fault quarterback Aaron Rodgers for what he was a season ago. As mentioned numerous times, the weapons around him were nowhere near ideal. And it should be noted, that statistically, he still had a nice year. The veteran signal-caller threw for over 4,000 yards with 26 touchdowns and just four interceptions.

Using the eye-test, however, Rodgers was a lesser version of himself in the 2019 season. He was more risk-averse than we’ve seen him throughout his career, which was one of the things that made him great when he was playing at his peak. Furthermore, the big-time throws we’ve become accustomed to seeing weren’t routinely there for Rodgers either.

Considering the lack of moves on offense by Green Bay, so much pressure is going to be on Rodgers to carry the load. Yes, they may look different with more reliance on the rushing attack and play-action but the quarterback needs to be a playmaking threat whenever he drops back to pass.

There has been much speculation since the draft that the Packers selecting Jordan Love could motivate Rodgers (or piss him off) to be the best version of himself. If Green Bay has title aspirations, the Packers faithful need to hope that’s the case.
