AFC North: Cleveland Browns

2019 was a season to forget for the Cleveland Browns as they went 6-10 in the only season under head coach Freddie Kitchens. With Kitchens and general manager John Dorsey out, the Browns turned to former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach and Andrew Berry, who was in Cleveland a couple of years ago, as their first-year general manager.

In their first offseason, they were beyond successful. Berry and Stefanski shored up the offensive line which was a huge weakness in 2019. They did so by signing Jack Conklin in free agency and drafting Jedrick Wills at No. 10 overall.

Cleveland also added tight end Austin Hooper, safety Karl Joseph, and cornerback Kevin Johnson in free agency while also retaining Kareem Hunt. Then in the draft, they picked up Grant Delpit and Jacob Phillips from LSU as well as Jordan Elliott from Missouri and wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones out of Michigan.

Berry was excellent in addressing the team’s needs and didn’t have any reaches in the draft either. His moves make the Browns much better on paper and the hope is that Stefanski and his ability to build a solid game plan will help them finally make the most out of the talent they have.
