NFC West: Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have now put together back-to-back solid offseasons. After hiring Kliff Kingsbury as their head coach in 2019, they started to remake their roster. First up was swapping out Josh Rosen for Kyler Murray, who looks the part under center even though many wanted to question his height.

Their record wasn’t great but they showed improvement and gave fans hope that they can start to contend in the near future. Another strong offseason could mean that time comes sooner rather than later.

Arizona’s biggest move was landing wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the Houston Texans. For a second-round pick and running back David Johnson, Arizona was able to add arguably the best wideout in the game. That gives Murray a legit No. 1 option to go along with some explosive weapons such as Christian Kirk and Andy Isabella.

They also added Isaiah Simmons in the draft which gives them a playmaker on defense. The one risk they took in taking Simmons was that they weren’t upgrading the struggling offensive line, but landing Josh Jones later in the draft helped them in that regard.

Another big move was landing Leki Fotu late in the draft. A giant nose tackle, Fotu is a guy who will do the dirty work, even if he doesn’t get the credit. Overall, this is the most improved team in the AFC West.
